Hospitalisation grant

• You or your child have been admitted to hospital for EB treatment for 2 nights or more.
• You can obtain a letter from the hospital confirming the following:
  • Admission date
  • Discharge date (if applicable)
  • Reason for admission (i.e. treatment for EB – we don’t need specifics)
• You are living in the Republic of Ireland
• You are currently registered with Debra’s support team.

If you are not already registered with us, we would be more than happy to accept your grant application after you complete your registration online.

You will receive €100 for any hospital stay of 2 to 7 nights. If you remain in hospital for more than 7 days, you will receive an additional €100 for every week thereafter.

1. Contact our EB support team to request the grant
2. Request a letter from the hospital confirming the length and reason (e.g. treatment for EB. We do not need specifics) of your hospital stay.
3. Send a copy of your hospital letter and any travel receipts to our family support team by email or post. We cannot provide you with your grant unless all necessary supporting documentation is received.
4. Your grant will be processed at the end of that month and you will receive your grant via bank transfer within approximately 14 days.

With your permission, they can contact the hospital and retrieve the necessary supporting document for you.
